SUBCAT S-30
PASSENGER CATAMARAN SUBMARINE
Our submarine excursions are carried out in the SubCat S-30 “Balea SubCat”, with capacity for 28 passengers plus crew and is intended for tourist and educational excursions on the marine fauna of Lanzarote. We will also visit the Museo Atlántico, the only underwater museum in Europe.
This submarine catamaran model is unique in the world. Its main feature is that of being able to navigate on the surface and in immersion, leaving behind the technologies of pure tourist submarines, which only navigate in immersion and have entrance through the upper hatch. In the case of SubCat S-30, the access roads (hatches) are located at the end of the passenger cabin (main entrance) and in the pilot compartment.
There are 14 windows of 600 mm (one for every two passengers), 7 in starboard and 7 in larboard. The 14 television monitors will show interesting information about the ecosystem of the Canary Islands and, especially, the marine species of Lanzarote.
In the SubCat S-30 you do not perceive pressure changes and it is equipped with air conditioning.
The Subcat S-30 has a total length of 19.50 meters, 6.00 meters of beam and a strut of 1.5 meters. On the stern platform, it has a seating space for passengers, where they can enjoy the coast of Lanzarote during surface navigation.
It also has all the security systems, reviewed and certified by internationally renowned classification societies.
